Saudi Arabian Gold Licenses: Winning in Africa & The Middle East

November has brought good news to Jula Consultancy’s advisory activities in the #Saudi Arabian mining sector. A Saudi company we have been advising since March 2022 has emerged as one of the winners in the Competitive Tender, Round 6, for #exploration licenses in the kingdom. The company now has two gold exploration licenses in the highly prospective but underexplored Northeast #Arabian shield of Saudi Arabia. It is expecting more in future rounds.  One of the two licenses is already in a joint venture with an #Australian company. The second is available for a similar partnership with any financially and technically competent partner. We are assisting our client to set up a JORC-standard exploration programme. Meetings are being organized with our partner, a celebrated British geologist, who arrived in Saudi Arabia this week. Please let us know if you are interested in discussing the second license.

Our first experience in Saudi Arabia’s mining sector was in 2018 when our CEO was invited as Chief Strategist of Orca #Gold to make a presentation on the Sudan’s mineral potential. This was at a Conference organized in Jeddah, by the Saudi Government, for the #Sudan.  Since then, we have made 2 presentations to the Saudi Ministry of Industry & Mineral Resources, to their senior managerial and technical staff, including one attended by the Deputy Minister of Mineral Resources at the time. Orca Gold, a #Canadian explorer our CEO was part of the founding team of, made multimillion ounce Au discoveries in the #Sudan (Block 14) and Ivory Coast/ Côte d’Ivoire (Montage Gold). Block 14 has now become the Meyas Sand Gold Project of #Perseus Mining, waiting for peace to return to the Sudan for it to be developed into a major East African mine. #Montage secured US$825 million at the end of October (2024) to finance its flagship Koné project.

Our aim in the global mining sector is to position Jula Consultancy FZE, with its newly registered sister company (Sables Sustainable Mining in Abu Dhabi – Sables Mining Consultancy LLC) as major advisers for not only securing exploration licenses but also promoting #sustainability through a world-class team of advisers (geologists, #environmental experts, #mining #engineers, etc.). We already have such a team (almost) for Saudi Arabia, comprising experienced Saudi, North African, #European and #Australian professionals.
