AFRICA HUMANITARIAN AWARD IN EDUCATION 2025

From April 2-5, 2025, nearly 300 participants landed in the magnificent natural glare of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, for the 3rd Africa Education Summit. They comprised His Excellency, Emmerson Mangagwa, Zimbabwe’s President, Ministers and members of Parliament from Zimbabwe and other African countries, Vice Chancellors of African Universities, Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE), and other dignitaries from Africa and abroad. The Summit was organized by Global Skills (United Kingdom), LION Outreach International (United States of America), Lancaster University (United Kingdom) and other official partners, hosted by the Zimbabwean Government.

As the water roars on the rocks and along channels and gorges, wildlife thrives in the protected World Heritage Site across the Zambian and Zimbabwe borders.  A trophy, from a race others had ran for us, sat waiting for our CEO in a hall at Elephant Hills Hotel. It says: “DR KARAMO SONKO is honoured with AFRICA HUMANITARIAN AWARD IN EDUCATION …

The award conferment letter states:
“Your nomination for the Africa Humanitarian of the Year Award is a reflection of your exceptional contribution to the Africa education, your unwavering commitment to academic excellence, and your profound influence on both youth and the educational community. Your dedication to advancing knowledge and inspiring learners has not gone unnoticed, and you continue to be a role model in the academic space.”

Our sincere thanks go to Global skills (UK), LION Outreach International (USA), their official partners and the host government of Zimbabwe.
