LEADING PUBLISHER ANNOUNCES OUR NEW BOOK ON HISTORIC DAY OF AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT FINANCE

Today, September 1, Palgrave Macmillan (London & New York), announced the publication of our new book: “21st Century African Development Strategies: Facing the Challenges with Innovative Approaches”. It is also today that Dr Sidi O. Tah, who wrote the foreword, as the outgoing President of BADEA, was sworn in as the new President of the AfDB.
The book offers a multidisciplinary guide to the financial, economic & broader development challenges facing Africa. It presents a practical policy framework for addressing a diverse range of challenges seen, based on technical, managerial & strategic approaches. It employs historical, socio-economic, statistical & mathematical analyses in studying the challenges. It recommends self-confidence, unity, peace & security, planning, education, health, agriculture, industry & technology for the 21st century
In the last 5 years, this our CEO’s 3rd book project with his co-author and Sustainability Adviser, Mariama, and the second one with his former Prof., Haider A. Khan, a renowned mathematical economist and thinker, Distinguished Professor at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver (DU). Khan studied physics, before moving on to maths & then economics. DU has produced world leaders, including Professor Condoleezza Rice, former US Secretary of State, David Malpass, former President of the World Bank, foreign Ministers in Iran & Saudi Arabia, & Sheikhs from the GCC.
In addition to Dr Tah (congratulations & gratitude), the authors wish to thank the following eminent persons & scholars who have endorsed the book, as you can see from this link with further information: https://lnkd.in/dWn6Ka-B

Mariama and Dr Sonko acknowledge those who encouraged us, especially the giants who gave us their time & attention. This work is a modest attempt, with shortcomings solely ours. At a time when Africa’s aspirations & challenges are both rising, we are grateful to be able to rise too, raising our scholarly voices with words of frankness, encouragement, caution & guidance!
