We are grateful to the Honourable Minister of Minerals and Member of Parliament of Tanzania, Anthony Peter Mavunde, for the invitation to address his Ministry on “ESG and Stakeholder Engagement” on the 22nd of July 2024 at 2.30pm. The Jula Consultancy team (including Humphrey Simba, from ASNLADVISORY) received a very warm welcome from the Ministry and we got a pleasant surprise of guests logging in from all around Africa and the Middle East. The Ministry’s technical team, led by the Commissioner of Minerals, Dr Abdul Rahman S. Mwanga, welcomed us with opened arms and smiles, and invited us again to Tanzania. They demonstrated a very keen interest in ESG and promoting win-win partnerships in Tanzania’s immensely rich minerals sector. The meeting ended with an agreement, in principle, to work with Jula Consultancy FZE on sustainability issues in the sector.
